HUMANITY encompasses Lippke’s work with humanitarian organizations across Eastern Africa, Central America, the Middle East and Southeast Asia. These photographs are grounded in long-term engagement rather than crisis spectacle, focusing on daily life within conditions of instability, displacement and recovery. The work resists simplification, attending instead to the complexity of resilience as it is lived: through family structures, labor, grief, care and persistence. Lippke approaches these narratives with restraint, emphasizing presence over intervention and observation over explanation. The images allow human experience to emerge in its full range, shaped by struggle yet oriented toward continuity and survival.
